To Love and To Serve:
This Is My Mission
My name is Arielle Christine. I’m a 21 year old girl who, for some reason, God has called to do something about injustice through missions. I’m still trying to understand why God would use someone who is so young and silly, someone who doesn’t have amazing speaking abilities and astounding servanthood skills, but I’ve heard a rumor that His ways are higher than mine. A man once said that, "Missions then is less about the transportation of God from one place to another and more about the identification of a God who is already there. You see God where others don't. And then you point him out. So the issue isn't so much taking Jesus to people who don't have him, but going to a place and pointing out to the people the creative, life-giving God who is already present in their midst. " This is my focus and calling. To point Jesus out where others don’t see him. Whether that’s on the red light district in Thailand, or in the slums in Uganda.
I’ve been made to be a light, so I’m going to shine wherever I go.
Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat. ~Mother Teresa
